On Saturday May 16th, 2009, from 1 pm to 5 pm, Spectrum High School will be promoting health and fitness by hosting an Elk River Area Active Youth Day at Salk Middle School athletic fields. This is a free event and is geared towards kindergarten through high school students. It will include events such a climbing wall, inflatable jumpers, obstacle courses, basketball shootouts, a punt pass and kick competition, a golf lesson, disc golf, and a tennis clinic just to name a few. It is also our goal to have a motivational speaker to talk to the students about healthy eating habits and staying fit.
